A new publication by the IU Office of Creative Services tells the university’s compelling research story.
The 2006-07 annual report for the Indiana University Research & Technology Corporation was published this month. The four-color booklet, designed and written by IU Creative Services for client Mark Long, president and CEO of IURTC, features an inside look at IURTC’s record-setting year, including news about its groundbreaking research in biotechnology, medicine, chemistry, and computer sciences.
Featured in the annual report this year are a new compound to improve the success of lung transplants, discovered by Dr. David Wilkes; a new method of utilizing calcium and fluoride to improve dental health, developed by Dr. Robert Karlinsey; and Dr. David Clemmer’s innovative invention designed to aid in the diagnosis of disease using spectrometry.
The IURTC is a nonprofit agency that facilitates research and technology collaborations between IU and industry. IURTC stimulates growth in Indiana’s technology sectors by helping companies develop commercially viable technology with the ultimate goal of creating jobs and growing the state’s economy.
