A Bloomington native, Rick Faris graduated from IU with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1975. He began his career as a book designer in Chicago and later worked as director of corporate graphics for a medical corporation in Michigan. He returned to Bloomington more than 20 years ago to work as an art director for the IU Office of Creative Services. Since then, he has received numerous design awards and his work has been featured in Print, Graphis, and Design and Production Magazine.
