Web Developer Internship

The Indiana University Office of Creative Services seeks a talented individual to work with a team of writers, art directors/graphic designers, information architects, and programmers to create and maintain top-level Indiana University Web sites.

Applicant needs to be able to translate design in the form of a Photoshop file into digital media, develop, test, and launch Web sites using the latest programming strategies while adhering to university accessibility standards. Applicant needs to be able to implement some intermediate back-end functionality including creating surveys, forms, blogs, RSS news and event feeds.

Qualifications: Ability to work independently, attention to detail, good oral and verbal communication skills, strong presentation and communications skills required. Experience in developing Web sites in XHTML/CSS required, experience in JavaScript, CGI/Transform, PHP, Perl, XML, XSLT, Flash and other web technologies preferred.

Experience using Adobe DreamWeaver and Photoshop required.

Pay-rate: $12-$15/hr depending on skills and experience, approximately 20 hours per week
