Erika KnudsonErika Knudson
Co- Director

Erika Knudson is co-director of the IU Office of Creative Services, overseeing the client relations function of the office. Two of her favorite things: her Where the Wild Things Are puppet and the marketing campaign for the TV show True Blood. (P.S.: She does not really have fangs. Those are fake and she is quite friendly.)

She has more than 20 years of experience as an editor, writer, and public relations coordinator in a variety of settings, from health care to higher education. Erika started working at IU in 1997 as the director of publications for the Indiana Career and Postsecondary Advancement Center, and she served as client relations manager for the former Office of Publications for seven years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English education from the University of Wyoming.

Her particular interests are creating social media strategy, writing about art, doing magazine features, art directing photo shoots, and developing fundraising case statements. Outside of work, she is an avid advocate for animal welfare issues, and can talk a blue streak about her three dogs, one cat, and the occasional foster puppy.
