CHALLENGE

To expand and update the school’s alumni magazine, adding more content and giving it a fresh and energetic new look.

SOLUTION

A creative team worked collaboratively with the school’s Office of Development and Communications to expand and incorporate new ideas for a distinctive and updated design. The latest incarnation allowed for more emphasis on feature stories. Writers and editors worked on feature articles about each department within HPER, and alumni and donor profiles were included to give a personal perspective demonstrating success from the school. The art director gave the magazine a cohesive, colorful, visual treatment, but gave each article a distinguishing treatment to capture readers’ attention. The result? A magazine that conveys both the serious nature of HPER faculty’s research and the contemporary, energized personality of the school.
