CHALLENGE

To create a catalogue that promoted the SoFA Gallery and the artists included in Human Nature, a groundbreaking exhibit at the gallery. The catalogue had to convey the often controversial, technologically advanced, experimental nature of the exhibit and to represent the artwork faithfully using the highest quality design and printing available.

SOLUTION

We collaborated with the SOFA Gallery director to create the catalogue as a companion piece for the exhibition. The art director suggested metallic inks and a premium-grade, coated paper for the project. The 112-page plus cover catalogue included essays, descriptions of the artwork, and biographies of the artists, and the editor worked closely with the client to perfect all the text. The catalogue was distributed at the exhibition opening, sold in the School of Fine Arts bookstore, and distributed to various museums and galleries nationwide.
