Invitation and Program for the IU Presidential Inauguration

CHALLENGE

To create an elegant, sophisticated event program that reflects the importance and stature of this historic event and clearly conveys accurate information about the ceremony and participants.

SOLUTION

In keeping with the president’s love of tradition and his international reputation for high-tech preeminence, the creative team wanted to create a traditional yet contemporary set of publications for his inauguration. Working in collaboration with the president’s staff and University Ceremonies, the team created a tasteful program using uncoated cotton rag paper with fresh cream and crimson accents, an embossed seal, and a classic typeface. Looking out over the celebrants seated at the IU Auditorium on Inauguration Day, we knew we had struck exactly the right notes: classical, traditional, contemporary.
