Logos, Colors, Wordmarks

The registered trademarks are owned by the Trustees of Indiana University. They may be used on all official Indiana University materials and communications. No modifications should be made to official IU marks, and they should be used in full.

Notice: Indiana University will announce the Integrated Image Initiative in fall 2006. At that time, the wordmarks will change.

  • Crimson, cream, white, or black are the only acceptable colors for official IU marks.
  • Do not cut or extract any part of a mark.
  • Appropriate sizing is acceptable, as long as each mark is readable and visually intact.

Colors

Use the official IU Web and print colors whenever possible. Use of color
outside the palette is not recommended as it takes away the brand value of
the Indiana University name and sets your department outside the university
environment.

The official IU Web colors are as follows:
Crimson: #7D110C
Cream: #F8F3D2

The official IU print colors are as follows:
Crimson: Pantone 201 or C:0 M:100 Y:63 K:29
